The Anglo-Boer War Diary of Private Charles Holmes

2nd Northamptonshire Regiment

Charles Holmes was a recalled reservist serving in the Anglo-Boer War. He kept a daily record of his activities which he sent home from time to time. His diary for the latter part of 1900 has survived. It gives a daily record of impressions of the news and events from the perspective of an ordinary soldier in the ranks of a British infantry regiment in the Orange Free State and Cape Colony.

The Diary has been transcribed and edited with an introduction and explanatory notes by Bev and Dan Allen.

Price includes UK postage.
